Purpose for the Course
To fulfill the continuing education requirements for installers and inspectors in Idaho.  THIS CLASS HAS BEEN APPROVED BY THE IDAHO DIVISION OF BUILDING SAFETY.  This course will educate and inform the manufactured housing installer inspector and retailer on technical aspects of manufactured housing placement and set-up. The course will be four (4) hours (this includes at least 50 minutes of instruction per hour of class).

Instructor: Doug Strunk
Doug is the  owner of Strunk and Co located in Emmett, Idaho.  He has a 36 year history with the manufactured housing industry and has been involved in the setting of installation standards in Idaho, Nevada and Utah

There has been a reinstatement of continuing education requirements for installer licensing. Please find attached scans of the pages comprising the rulemaking docket relating to continuing education requirements for installers. The implementation plan, according to Steve Keyes from the licensing agency, the state Division of Building Safety, is to begin requiring the continuing education on licenses renewing on June 1, 2011 or later. It requires 8 hours for an initial licenses and 4 hours for a renewal. The department will be working with MHI who will be offering the classes needed.
